Solution would be to shorten the hammer tail to correct the bouncing issue?

Its one of the final solutions, but even then, you need to check the distance from the top of the disco hook-to the back side of the hammer where the disco would contact it if the tail was too short instead.
But lets back it up,
With the 9mm bolt ramps, and the fact that you should already be running a 9mm 5.47oz buffer to slow the cycle back on the blow back action, Hence if you are running a standard weight 2.9oz carbine buffer, and standard recoil spring, the 9mm blow back action is going to be way the hell back stroking on ignition too strong with to begin. Also to point out, When you ramp the 9mm bolt, you lose the normal extra tension of the hammer unclocked against the flat back of the carrier to slow the rear cycle down at ignition (blow back action, not gas action), so you have to gain the needed tension back somewhat instead (extra tension recoil spring works well here).
So attack plain, start with the disco to see what the free gap is, and if needed, re-time the disco to get that correct from the start.
Hammer tail, it can be shorted if needed (bad case of hammer wedging), but guess it not the problem at hand, and in the 9mm config, the problem is not enough buffer spring tension, and even buffer mass to correctly control the blow back action. So here, when the 9mm upper goes on, you need to swap out the buffer and spring to a 9mm weight buffer and extra tension recoil spring (Wolff sells extra tension recoil springs).
Now back to the 22lr upper, and here, it does not matter what recoil spring and buffer are in the rig, since they are not in play with the 22lr adapter. There is always the solution of changing out the hammer spring to a weaker spring for just that caliber, but this would cause problems with all the other calibers that are not 22lr instead. So the best solution, pull the 22lr bolt assembly down, and start polishing the rail bearing parts. Between polishing the parts so they can move against each other like greased glass, and even making to use ammo that is on the hotter side, the 22lr bolt will full stroke so the disco can catch the hammer with a standard hammer spring in play.
