I have both the reaction rod & the AAC muzzle device tool, but I simply can't put enough force on the device to get it off.

Per some of the discussions I've seen, it doesn't seem like heat is the answer, since the adhesive they used would need to survive being inside of a can.

Any suggestions?

If they used Rockset on the threads, soak it in water for a while and try again.

Soak it overnite, 24 hours is better.  Had to do the same thing taking a surefire mount off my Larue.

I had to use a giessle reaction rod and the AAC flash hider removal tool on
A 3/8 socket breaker bar  to remove the one on my AAC 9 inch upper.
Rockset is pretty tuff stuff.

ETA. I also had to use a piece of 2 inch ridged conduit  about 4 ft long
On the socket breaker bar To get enough leverage to break it free.

Hmm, I've soaked the FH for 36 hrs in water, am using the reaction rod, and the AAC tool.  No budging this FH.  I'm starting to think bigger breaker bar is needed.

I would lob a call into AAC. They should be able to tell you what they did to it and how to get it off. Worst case, send it in to them and have them do it. That way when they screw the whole thing up they can repair/replace it.
