Gents,

I bought an AR about 2 years ago which has a plum crazy lower and an unknown upper.  How do I figure out where the upper came from or what can you tell me? It has the standard Keyhole stamp om the receiver and the barrel is stamped "SAA"....other than that, no other markings have been found yet.   I'm currently experiencing cycling issues, making it a one shot wonder

The barrel is from Surplus Ammo.

SAA assembles uppers with their parts, they also sell kits. It would be hard to tell if they assembled or somebody else did.

My gut would tell me that it is a purchased upper because I don't know anybody that would purchase a PC lower then BUILD an upper. I could be wrong but...

Describe the problems in detail, I'm sure we can help you.

I would check for a loose gas key on the bolt carrier.
