According to Armalite a longer pin is needed for free float handguards vs traditional handguards secured by a delta ring. If you didn't buy a complete factory rifle can you tell which one you have simply by looking? Anyone happen to have any specs or pics?

Thanks in advance.

The long (FF tube)pin will extent all the way forward, to the edge of the upper where the threads are cut. The traditional will be shy, from the end, about the width of a penny/nickle.
Anything is possible, everything is temporary

The standard AR-10 port door rod is 4-1/16" long and the AR-10T for free float handguards is 4-3/16" long.

Great, that's exactly what I was needing. Thanks.
