New to the forums, but had a quick question in hopes someone could answer.

I bought a black rain ordnance mlok handguard, however with that handguard came a weird barrel nut. My magpul wrench doesnt seem to be a match for it so i was wondering if i needed some other special tool to torque this puppy down?

In this video the barrel but looks kind the same but is solid. He says use your armor's wrench to install so maybe you need a different wrench than the magpul

yeah i noticed his nut was different than mine and i reviewed the video, but it doesnt help me much.

im just curious if anyone else has encountered this kind of barrel nut before.

fyi im doing a custom left handed build after not liking the mini 14's quirks.

black rain nickle boron bolt carrier group lefty
daniel defense fixed front rear sights
odin works atlas 5 muzzle break
anderson light weight 223 wylde barrel (just to see)
spikes tactical lower but will be changing to a gen2 for ambi

I had an upper that came with a barrel nut like that. I used mu DPMS wrench. The 2 pins on it fit the slots on the nut.
