I'd mostly like to use it for HD (SUPERS) and launching heavy subs at the range. Is it a dumb idea or is it the perfect embodiment of what 300 blackout should be?

Getting a barrel that short for 300 blackout probably wouldn't be all that practical. If you ever had to use it for HD, you'd blow your ears out, and the muzzle flash would be pretty blinding at night. Plus, if you ever wanted to use a can on it, 6" is below most suppressors' minimum barrel length.

It would be fun for the range/plinking, but I'd recommend an 8 or 9 inch barrel.
