3 gunners are starting to use them. Definitely a conversation starter.

Is it even lighter than a normal forged receiver set?

I don't think so...actually probably about the same weight as a forged set.

For comparison sakes here is the bailos upper and lower from 2a.

Listed at 12.35 oz as a set (lower 6.5oz upper is 5.85oz)

12.35 oz = .77lbs

It looks neat, but probably not lighter.

I just weighed some normal forged receivers and got: lower-8.35oz, upper-6.8oz.  Which makes 15.15oz, which is less than that set.

It looks like that thing is set up to install a dust cover, for some reason

That's funny that they even market that set as light weight when standard uppers and lowers weigh less

Perhaps its a typo, listing "shipping weight" rather than actual weight of the stripped receivers.  My stripped MagTactical lower and Aero Precision (no FA) upper weigh a total of 12.7 oz.  From the looks of it, the pictured F1 set weighs quite a bit less.  Ultra-light AR enthusiasts are willing to try anything to get total rifle weight below 4 lbs. - CW
