Traded for several NoS M-16 barrels. Had some other parts here and there. Then Brownells had their sale......
So I ended up with this rifle when I was done. I find it to be kind of ugly. 
A2 Flashhider A1 1-12" Pencil Barrel A3 Upper Receiver A2 Lower Receiver A1 Buttstock All on top of the first stripped lower I bought back in 2006 or 2007. I have an A1 grip that I should have installed. To bring it into the 21st century, I added a Gasbuster charging handle and YHM freefloat. If I ever shoot it, I'll probably put some sort of red dot on it, but for now, I had the carry handle gathering dust.

The only difference between the A2 and A3 was that the A3 had AUTO instead of BURST. Colt jumped the gun in the early 90s before the military officially type-classified the A3 and A4, and called some of their flat-top commercial models AR-15 A3's, while other commercial makers like Armalite kept their nomenclature aligned with the military.
