I ordered a striped upper from Red X based on this thread.  Ordered 17th, shipped 21st, received today (26th).  Other than unboxing it I haven't done anything with it yet.

How is that? I ordered mine on the 13th and still haven't even gotten word on being charged, not to mention a shipment.

Was yours stripped or a complete upper?

Shouldn't matter. It said in stock. It had a forward assist and dust cover, but that shouldn't affect stock or ship time.

Sign up for their email notify. They had them on Feb 14th for a few minutes and again today so maybe soon another shipment will be there.
That's how I got one. Got the notify at 1:11pm and had the order confirm email at 1:15.

Does anyone know if RGuns' website has real time inventory?

http://www.rguns.net/gunparts/rifle-parts-AR-uppercomponents-UpperReceivers.shtml

Rguns does not have real time website inventory, real time telephone confirmation, or real time email verification of in stock status. But they can and will offer poor customer service, slow shipping, and you would be better off avoiding them.

And as a local who has been to their store, they act pretty pissed off when customers come in and disturb whatever is going in in the back. I am no expert but their products seem okay and they haven't gone ape-shit on price increases like some companies have. As other customers have said though, you have to be patient...patient like Yoda.

My bank account just got charged for the BCG I ordered 1/3/13....so they're about two months out....other than the charge to my account I haven't heard from them nor have I even attempted to contact them.  If you order something, they will eventually get it to you.....It's been a long two months of waiting though.

Not on in-store items I don't think. 69.99 & 99.99 I believe.  Posted for the people who might drive in tomorrow morning.

Sorry for posting here.  But can someon educate me on 308 vs 223/5.56 upper receivers.
Is there any difference besides just using a 308 barrel or is there more to it than that?

From what I understand a .308 is going to be bigger to handle more force as well as a bigger bullet

I guess I need to be more clear.  What would it take to alter an AR15 223 build into a 308 build.  Do you simply replace the barrel or do you need a whole new upper receiver and upper receiver parts.

You need a whole new receiver setup. .223/5.56 cannot accept .308 systems. Maxwells are different sizes etc. volt carrier is much larger....

AR10 platform is for 308. The two platforms only share some of the lower parts. Everything else is essentially bigger.

I need two of these to move my builds along.  I wonder if they will take phone orders?  I already have an order for a lower and BCG processing with them.
