I've been hoping someone would start a thread like this.
Very Cheap Zombie Barrels. Variety in stock
centurion-arms-16inch-hammer-forged-barrel-light-weight This site appears to have live inventory
Daniel defense 5.56 CHF 12.5 inches
Noveske 12.5 inch 5.56
Rainier ultra match 13.7 inches 223 wylde

Short barrels seem to be quite a bit easier to find. It's everything 14.5" and above. Which happens to be what I'm looking for.

Went out on a limb for a 16" zombie barrel.  Never heard of these guys, but it's worth a shot I guess.

Now to find an elusive bcg.

http://www.zombiebarrels.com/hotdeals/index.php

From the website:
"Made of 41-40 Steel.  The AR 15, 16" Mid length Gas system, lightweight barrel, comes with a .750 diameter gas block area, headspaced and a phosphate finish.  1-9" twist to cover a wide range of bullet weights.  ½"-28 threaded muzzle.
This barrel has an M-4 Barrel Extension. "

Cost $99.00 each plus 15.32 shipping by FedEx for a total of $213.49.  Pretty cheap for two barrels.

For this price I don't expect to shoot 1" groups at 1000 yards, but for an inexpensive plinker or a get home gun, probably OK.

I bought two of them.  It seems their barrels are made by Citadel and from what I have been able to find, some people love the barrels and some are not fond at all.

I just ordered one of the 7.5" pistol barrels, just need a plinker and for $85 can't be too bad.

I looked at Red-x Arms but I have heard a lot of problems with them.

Sportsmans Guide had 16 inch m4 profile. it did not have a manufacturer listed. I bought one for $89. It was stripped, not chrome lined.

I know this is a huge crapshoot. Has anyone seen any 20" barrels in stock anywhere? Looking for one in a rifle length gas system Heck I might even entertain a 18 or 16" with a rifle length gas system.

Yes they are. I emailed them when I ordered my stripped upper and if its posted then they have it. They also have a live site so if you try and add so many it will tell you they don't have that many. They take a little over two weeks to get to you. The upper I got seems nice quality also.

After reading about Anderson manufacturing in some of the archived threads here, I think I will pass on one of their barrels.  While I would love to support my fellow Kentcukians, it seems the quality of their materials is not as good and apparently their business practices are a little shady.  Although, that was about 2 years ago......

Does anybody know if DPMS barrels are really in stock on their site?  It show in stock and lets you add them to your cart. I placed an order for a cmmg barrel last week but I read on the industry forum that someone was told 6 months wait on their order from them....

Thanks guys for the tip on the Zombie barrel. Ordered that 16" mid length the other day----got tired of trying to find the non existent 20" pencil barrel.

Be interested to hear if anyone has their Zombie yet or received any shipped confirmation.

State of the Art Arms...I just ordered the M4 non chrome

almost hesitant to post...in fear of backlogging my order but ARFCOM has been too good to me to fail to share

ETA: looks like no live inventory so YMMV!  below is from their startpage:

PLEASE NOTE THAT ORDERS PLACED FOR PARTS WILL TAKE 2-3 WEEKS TO SHIP AND ORDERS PLACED FOR COMPLETE UPPERS UNITS WILL TAKE 6-8 WEEKS.

CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED AT TIME OF ORDER PLACEMENT

Thanks shootermcg!  The only thing that worries about that purchase is when you scroll down the page, it says this:

"We're sorry, due to high demand, the manufacturer is unable to provide a reliable "Date expected in stock," therefore we are unable to take a backorder. Please use our Notify Me feature to receive an alert as soon as the product arrives."

Not sure how it could say "available" or "in stock" and then have that at the bottom of the page.....

mmm, usually if Midway say's its in stock and you can add to cart that mean's it is ready to go, that might be some blanket statement they have on multiple items.

This also had me worried when I ordered an AO upper receiver but after a day I received a shipping notice so I believe that if Midway says its in stock then it def is.  I will let you know Tuesday as that is when my upper is scheduled to arrive.  I also ordered one of these barrels, woohoo!!!
