Kind of a dumb question, but is there another way besides buying a picatinny rail section? I don't mind that necessarily, just wondering if there's a slicker way?

You could mount it at the 12 o'clock if you have an EMR model with a large enough rail uptop.  Other than that, you're pretty much stuck using a picatinny rail somewhere.  There's no direct mount MLOK options I'm aware of that replace the picatinny mount on the X300.

I got a Fenix ALG-00 sight mount. And use a MLOK Magpul 3-slot.  I use this site mount for my laser too.   It has a QD connection.

So this setup good for bipod, laser and light.  Perfect.
