I have a Brand New Pentagon Light that I purchased 5 or 6 years ago, I guess the the light is basically worthless since parts can no longer be bought for them? I never mounted it on my AR and was thinking of doing it, But not sure I want to if parts are unavailable. Let me hear your opinions.

It entirely worthless... you can use Surefire G2/6P drop-in bulbs with the Surefire tailcap.
Which model is it? I have one with the IR illuminated and it has an LED for the white light.

The IR illuminated uses some strange battery, never been useful as it doesn't stay charged.
