My X300U-B became loose on my rail and when I took it off I noticed this bolt broken

Are you sure it is not a knock off?
I would send it back to surefire under warranty.

Never seen that. Weird place to cause stress, maybe over tightened?

I switch my x300u-a and TLR1 from rifle to handgun(s) pretty often. Never had a problem. *knock on wood*

Just had it happen to mine a few weeks ago.  I'll probably give Surefire a call later this week and see if they'll send me a new mounting bolt.  The material the bolt is made out of seems pretty cheap/brittle.  I didn't apply that much torque to it.

yea mine was just installed once via coin tightening then left alone. I guess the bolt broke after last weekends range session and i did not notice it until yest

sitting on hold with them for 32 minutes so far waiting to talk to someone...........I called 17 min after they opened

1hr and 20 min into the call on hold and then all of a sudden someone just hangs up real quick

I have dealt with sure fire CS before. No company is perfect but they will take care of you.

I wound up calling back and doing some message thing that is supposed to keep my spot in line, and someone calls me back. A dude did call me at the end of the day and tell me he will have a new mounting screw and and the piece it goes into sent to me

That sucks.  I had a paddle on the switch fall off an X300U-B a couple months ago.

I was shooting a qualification course with my 1911 and my X300U-B went flying off. I ended up finishing the course without the light. Later that day I called Surefire and they sent me new hardware. Rep said if it's going to break, it's going to break in the spot near the small C-clip. I didn't overtorque mine either. Maybe they put out a bad batch of hardware.
For reference my serial number range is A0782x.

What's their email address?  They don't have one listed on their website for CS.

just deal with the wait and call them. I received my replacement parts Tues afternoon so Im back up and running. Im very satisfied, they shipped the parts out very quickly
