I have a Colt Sporter that I want to add a light to, but don't want to change the hand guards. I know BCM sells the tri-rail mount that is used on the Canadian C7/C8, but it's around $100 just for the mount.

Are there any other similar mounts for cheaper but still of good quality? Or maybe even lights that attach directly to the FSB. I know Elzetta makes one like that. Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks guys!

I have this one, which is reasonably priced, it's functional.  It would be nice if it was only one side with the rail, but it is what it is.

Do you know if this will fit the smaller diameter .625 barrels?

Elzetta- it works great and is cheap. Elzetta lights have oring grooves machined into the body and orings are included with the light. The orings keep the light from sliding in the mount. Option 2 would be a G2X tactical with a piece of road bike inner tube on it to keep it from sliding in the mount.

Surefire made one years ago that mounted the 6p lights, we used those back in the day "pre-rails". Also GG&G makes one, its what the Colombian SF guys use.

This is my day for ElZetta recommendations, lol!!!! But honestly their 1500 mount is what you want. It is, for me, the very best light mount for the 6 o'clock position.

Depending where you want the light: IWC TMC, Elzetta ZFH1500, Mossie Tactics MT2400FSB-U, Midwest Industries MCTAR-01G2, GG&G Dually/SLiC thing, or bolt a rail on to your handguards.
