I've been hauling around a heavy duty Arrow T50 stapler forever.  It takes up a lot of space and is frankly MUCH more stapler than I need for targets.

What lightweight, small footprint stapler do my ARFCOM colleagues use to cut down on clutter in the range bag and make it easy to change targets?

I use the Arrow JT27. Its probably not the lightest (steel) but it is fairly compact. (for a HD stapler)

ETA: It fits very nicely in a small pocket of my 5.11 Rush 72 bag that I use for the range.

I have been using a small Red Arrow JT21 for many years... has been a good/reliable Staple gun that has served me well.

Screw staples. I use cheap spray adhesive.

What about good old masking tape?

The Powershot is pretty sweet because you apply pressure over where the staple comes out instead of at the other end of the gun which tilts it away from your target.

Thought about it, but it takes up more room then the stapler, and staples, for me, tend to work on paper and cardboard and wood, wet or dry, hot or frozen.

Since my range has corrugated plastic board backers, I think it's going to have to be staples instead of some other hardware.  And as for tape, I've tried and tried to get tape to consistently hold a variety of targets on backers.  I've never gotten tape to hold all four corners at the same time without some sort of issue.
