I am looking at getting a Magpul carbine length hand guard for my Colt LE6920. My 6920 is one of the older (2004) restricted roll stamped models and has the front sling swivel mounted on the left side of the rifle as opposed to the newer ones that are on the bottom. The Magpul hand guards are designed for the bottom type swivel mount. Has anyone tried to see if these fit with the side mounted swivel?  When I talked to the Magpul customer service, they said it "should" fit. However, should is not an answer for me. Has anyone tired this in their AR?

As long as you are NOT getting the SL model, then it looks like it should fit
