Fire off a couple of rounds of cheap imported ammo to cover the foam smell.  |

You should be doing that stuff in a well ventilated area.
A non-trivial number of foams give off hydrogen cyanide gas and other really nasty stuff when burned or melted. |

I would guess that in time it will dissipate. I wonder if you could close it up, the case, with some material soaked in Hoppes 9 or Ballistol left inside? Substitute one odor for another.

It's gone in minutes from my experience, of course I have a window open and a large fan moving air... Don't breathe the smoke either, not sure what's in it but it's probably not good.
