I cut my Plano Field Locker foam with my homemade hot wire set up last night with good results! But the burnt foam smell is a bummer any idea how long till it's gone?

Post pics of your handiwork.  Post pics of your home made wire tool.

Fire off a couple of rounds of cheap imported ammo to cover the foam smell.

It depends on how long it takes you open a few windows. Maybe a fan to blow the air outside.

You should be doing that stuff in a well ventilated area.

A non-trivial number of foams give off hydrogen cyanide gas and other really nasty stuff when burned or melted.

Lines of coke help take the smell away, so I've heard...

This is not GD and its OPs first post.

Act right.

I would guess that in time it will dissipate. I wonder if you could close it up, the case, with some material soaked in Hoppes 9 or Ballistol left inside? Substitute one odor for another.

It's gone in minutes from my experience, of course I have a window open and a large fan moving air...  Don't breathe the smoke either, not sure what's in it but it's probably not good.

Lit candles help burn the smell away too.
