So I was planning on keeping my new carbine build a kiss rifle (lol) but I found I really like the magpul acs-l stock.  My other rifles uses the magpul asap and rsa so the ms2 sling works great.  At this point I'm going to leave the carbine handguards so no rail attachment is possible.

I have zero experience with any other slings.  So what are my options?

Besides getting a rail

The ACS-L requires that add-on for QD sockets, I'd recommend a QD receiver end plate like BCM's. But either way, a Magpul MS4 with the dual QD sockets CAN be removed for only one QD. Or get an MS1 (no attachments) and buy the QD attachment.

I added a Noveske QD to mine ACS-l and for the std hand guard you should visit Impact Weapons Components site as they have some options for you.

Ok so I scored a MI quad rail for a great price on the EE.  If I wanted to use the ms4 sling, I would need to buy the sling socket for the acs-l stock and then the rsa qd adapter to put on the rail?

Sorry for the dumb questions.  I've never used qd before, only the paraclip/hk hook style slings.

I thought Magpul started included the qp mount with the stock, fairly certain if you buy it from Joebob's that it is included as it is stated in their description.Jobbobs ACS-L

You are correct

So rsa qd and the sling itself and I'm good.

I almost always use a 2 point sling. I've tried a lot of them. Far and away, my favorite is the Gear Sector GS-2P.

I just added a QD adapter on my Vtac sling. I have a standard sling point up front and the QD going into my ACS-L on my right hand side of the stock.

My front of Magpul MS1 sling is mounted on the barrel, side sling adaptor (link below) in the middle of the front sight base and the rear I'm using a heavy duty push button sling swivel made by Damage Industries.

Most any brand of 2 point slings that I have could be setup like this, you only have to add a QD sling swivel at the rear of the sling.

I've got other slings that would work the same, Blue Force Gear Vickers VCAS, Gear Sector GS-2P, and Viking Tactics VTAC slings.

I like the way it looks. Been thinking of getting a sling myself.
