I know this thread sounds gay as shit so get the jokes in.

But I just got my Viking MK2 sling in and it is clear it has been in this position for a while. Lets be honest I am not in the military, LE, or hunt. I mainly use my rifle as HD and range shooting. I was just wondering if there is any way to soften up the sling without hurting it. I was thinking of throwing it in the dryer with a damp washcloth and maybe a fabric softener sheet but would that hurt it at all you guys think? Obviously the sheet wouldn't be a lavender scented sheet, that would give me away to the zombies.

Fuck I sound gay asking this.

What we really need to know is; are your drier sheets hypoallergenic?

That sling will tame itself after you drag it around a while.  In and out of rifle bags, truck seats...use it.

Next time you get in a scrap with your wife shake it in her face and threaten her with it.

After she takes it away from you and works you over real good with it, it'll be as pliable as a wet noodle.

Next time your boyfriend wants to give you a back massage have him massage the sling instead.

DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER (even with the softener sheet). Heat stiffens up leather.

Use SADDLE SOAP that will soften it up, too much might make it stretch. So use a little bit at first. Just like on your other leather goods

you obviously dont need a sling, as the weight of the gun would only hurt you...

Lol I meant the part that adjusts is stiff. Shit if I know the correct term for it. The padded part is soft enough. Haha

Why does everyone think it's leather? It's a nylon sling.

Seeing as how absolutely no part of a padded mk2 is leather, that won't do any good.

Start using the sling; it'll break in.

Serious post:

Sit on your couch, bring up Netflix, and spend the next 90 minutes bending and folding your sling while you watch a stupid movie.
