I need help in deciding how to mount a sling on the front end of this rifle without attaching to the bipod. I figured this was the place since most of you have forgotten more about the platform than I'll ever know. Here are some pics. Any suggestions appreciated.

Two options.  1) Rail mount adapter on the gas block. Lots of choices.  2) drill a hole in the aluminum handguard and put in another stud.

Looks like my LR 308 with the same bipod. Doesn't it have a stud on there somewhere on the bipod? Don't have mine handy, but I'm pretty sure it does.

If not, FPNI
