I just received two sets of Troy Ind. Squid Grips in FDE and since I have only seen one post on them, I thought I'd share. I was previously running the black version but I thought the FDE color would balance out the build. As far as keeping your hands away from a hot hand guard, they work really well. I'm guessing they are made out of silicone which is inherintly a great insulator. The SQs have a protruding lip section that is press-fit into the cooling holes of the Troy Alpha Rail (and I assume they would work with the TRX rail as well). Not sure they would still be there after humping though thick brush all day but that is a TBD. Not crazy about the overall look but we'll see if they grow on me.
