Just as bright indoors at least...I had to push the button 10x until it hit max brightness and indoors it's to bright.  Not as clear, just like the eotech, at max.  The 10th setting would be perfect when it's a real sunny day. Next sunny day I'll take a picture to confirm.  Love how you can go both eyes open in 1x with barely any scope in sight.  Generous eyebox and super clear.   I'm very happy with my purchase.  I haven't looked through any other high end scopes to compare.  But the fact it's half a pound lighter than the vortex was my main reason for choosing the Leupold.  Kinda rocking a lightweight build for 3-gun

Ok so I called Leupold to order my CDS set up for 55 gr Pnc bronze and also picked their brains about the firedot bdc reticle.  CS was awesome and JR from Leupold was very helpful.  The drops are set up for 62gr in 50 yd increments from 300 to 500 yds.  Here's what the drops will be for pmc bronze 55gr

1st large hash (1st) - 325
1st small hash (2nd)- 375
2nd larger hash (3rd)-430
2nd small hash (4th) -500
3rd largest hash(5th)-540

Still works but like I said its set up for 62gr. If you give them your ballistics they can tell you exactly where the BDC will fall for you. Also you zero for 100 yds when you have the CDS turret.  Then you turn your CDS to 200 if you are using your bdc.  Also if you like a 50-200 for the dot sight for cqb. Hopefully this helps.  Also it's cool to see a pro that's down to earth and likes sharing his knowledge such as yourself Jesse. Very good to see since I'm just starting out in 3-gun. Thanks

Jesse posted them on the previous page:

"The reticle is set up for a 200 yard zero. The hold overs are 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, and the top of the thick post on the bottom is 600. (On 6X)

The left and right edges of 300, 400 and 500 are 5 MPH wind holds

The 350 and 450 tic marks are one mil wide.

The reticle was designed by Mark Hanish and I, with input from several 3-Gunners."

200 yd Zero 1x 3x 6x
300 yd MOA 16.43 5.48 2.74
350 yd MOA 25.60 8.53 4.27
400 yd MOA 35.27 11.91 5.95
450 yd MOA 46.23 15.41 7.70
500 yd MOA 58.07 19.36 9.68
600 yd MOA 83.48 27.83 13.91

Still doesn't cover crosshair thickness, what does it cover up at 100 etc.

Just received my replacement scope.  It turns out that this fire dot is daylight bright after all.  It still isn't Aimpoint, Eotech or even Swarovski 1-6x24 w/BRT bright but it shows up on white backgrounds in the direct sun.

Good to hear... Yeah I retract my eotech bright statement but it's definitely usable in the sun.  So are you gonna run this scope in the pro circuit?
