what color do you prefer?

ETA:  what color would you prefer in south Texas brush?

I had a TA-33 with a green horseshoe, but found that it tended to be hard to see against foliage.  And we have a lot of foliage here in Florida.  If your brush in Texas is green, I'd go with the red reticle.
I sold it and bought a TA-01N with a red crosshair.  The donut was nice for rapid target acquisition, but I at longer ranges I found it a bit difficult to choose the correct aiming point.
Personally, I think the SWFA 1-6X SS HD is a superior optic for all applications, but you didn't ask that question.

That helped though.

I have a TA31 with green H/S and hunt in South Texas year round no problem with the green.

Green. I don't know how that green could be confused with any foliage

This. It really stands out pretty clearly.

I guess if I was shooting green animals in lush vegetation green might be a problem.
Had red for a while then went with green and for me either works equally well.

I like red in daylight, green in low light.

I prefer the green, even on the green side of Oregon.  Part of the reason I got a personal TA33 GH was I didn't care for the red chevron reticle on my issued TA31 ACOG.

Trijicon's green is awesome.  It is a color that does not exist in nature and doesn't wash out against anything.  I have a green TA31RCO green and have used it all year 'round in Central TX.

I use red up here in the NW.

I have 2 TA33's. One horseshoe, one crosshair - both green. Both do well in East Texas brush. My 31F is the red reticle. IMHO the red doesn't appear as 'vivid' in the same conditions.
