If I Drexel down font edge a magazine an 1/8" or so. Heard this but anyone confirm?

If not, what caliber mags will work? I read 6.8 grendel?

I have tried several 5.56 mags in my 7.62X39 AR's.
5.56 mags(20 or 30 rders) will work if you don't load more than 4 or 5 rounds in them.
The curvature geometry just doesn't work.
Gen III 7.62X39 mags from CPD are all I would buy and I currently use 8 or so of the 30's, and 2 of their 20 round mags.

Thought I read somewhere the Colt 5 round x39 mag was just a regular 20 round 5.56 mag blocked off
