I stumbled on this while surfing the net. Anyone have one? Similar to the Chinese drums but made of plastic.Rhino Arms and video found on their site youtube video

ETA: The link to the drum is dead. I can't find it on their site anymore. I've tried calling 2-3 times in the past couple of months with no answer. I think this is a dead issue.

The Rhino Arms site was Norinco-USA.Com until a few weeks ago, as mentioned HERE.  I don't know if the new ones are actually made in the USA or made in China, though.

No, no one has one as they are not shipping until July. They are only taking pre orders now.

Did you look at some of their other products? The drum for the 10/22? I haven't had much luck with drums other than my AK drums. The Auto-ord/Khar/Thompson drums sure suck. If this is anywhere near the function and reliability of the Chinese drums, it would be awsome!

I sold my 10/22 due to the fact I hate the bastardized 10 round mags and all the high caps are shit and won't function 100%.

I look forward to this 500 round brick mag though. If it works, I will pick up another 10/22.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't had any problems with the Butler Creek steel lips mags for my 10/22. I have had problems with others(Eagle/Ramline). I hope this company isn't another one who spits a good game but never delivers the product. Or worse, doesn't stand behind it! I'd like to see some of the Norinco drums on the market. The Bulgarians have copied the Norinco AK drum but it seems like they've stopped importing them. Good reproduction IMHO.

Something wrong there son

Just about all aftermarket mags work great in my 10/22. Even the cheapie $7 Eagles. You try different types of ammo?

I'm not sure they've officially "hit the streets" yet...their web site says "July"...hopefully we'll get somebody that has ordered one to give us a review when it comes in!

I could care less about that drum, but I'm 100% interested in their 500 round 10/22 box mag. If it works, they better make one for the Ar15/M16 adapters, that would be AWESOME!

I wonder how these will stack up against the Beta C in terms of durability...

The Rhino Arms 120 round AR Drum is being made in the ST. Louis area.    I have been involved in testing the prototype.    It REALLY works well.    Hopefully will be in productiion this summer.

The 10/22 mags look interesting, I had a 10/22 years ago during the ban that I picked up at a pawnshop, it had a single 35rd mag that worked perfect, but it got stolen later on.

Recently I got another 10/22, and I started out with some butler steel lip mags, they sucked bad... then I tried the plastic lip ones, they worked a little better but still nogo.
Then I picked up some 50rd double stack mags, they work the best, but they like the expensive $35 a brick .22s that cabelas sells, and I have to carefully load them watching where the rims are.
So far it looks like the biggest problem with the mags I have are some .22's have inconsistent rim size

Since the Chinese drums never worked lets hope these are made differently.

I've had good luck with Norinco drums. The only negative I can personally think of is that they are no longer importable. But not everyone has had the same luck I guess.

In a Colt Armorers class i just completed We got to see a prototype 150 steel drum coming out for an AR.

Is that the $600 Armatac, or is someone else in the game?

Are the drums going to be made from a steel, or a composite? They appear to be composite in their website photography.

I will only be inerested in the 120 round mag if it has a bipod eject feature to indicate that the magazine is almost empty.

I think this one is dead. The link to the drum has died since I originally posted this. I can't find it on their site. I've called but didn't get an answer.

There is a post on the first page from nuclearcal that states he was involved in testing it. He hasn't logged on since posting back in July.
