Anybody got hands on this yet? Just got an in-stock noticefrom Midway, and I'm tempted, but just wondering how these perform. Appears to be the same 150gr bullet they use in the .308/.30-06/300WSM offerings, but going MUCH slower (1900 fps for 300blk, 2770 for .308, 2900 for .30-06 and 3300 for 300WSM). Does anyone know the expansion threshold for this particular bullet? I would have preferred if they came out with an offering in the 110-130gr range for the 300blk but it is what it is.

That post just made me cross eyed.  Please edit it to something that resembles words.

Sorry, not sure what happened with the formatting. Fixed.

I originally posted this over at 300blktalk but that place is a ghost town. I copied/pasted from there hoping to get more traction here.

That's really dumb if they did 150gr. Leave that for .308 and ought six.

I wanted to see this load with a 90gr bullet at 2500fps in a 16".

I agree. It does appear to be the same bullet as they put in the .308 load. I guess they wanted a plug and play "solution" to capture part of the .300BLK market for the Fusion MSR line.

I too would much prefer to see something in the 110-120gr range for a Blackout load. Something to rival the venerable 110gr TAC-TX from Barnes, but that would require work on a new bullet that they haven't done yet. I still hope they do though!

I would think the 150gr bullet weight was chosen to be a ballistic match to the 150gr FMJ round in the American Eagle line.
