I bought a few boxes of this that arrived today:

Z-RA40T

Gov't overrun stuff released for sale, or so I'm lead to believe. RA40T just loaded in brass cases instead of the commercial nickel. RA40T is my carry ammo so I bought this stuff because of the great price. I have no doubt that it's perfectly fine but I was wondering about the head stamp and possibly the projectile.

Head stamp WMA 15. I'm sure the 15 is the date. I've never seen WMA on Winchester ammo before. RA40T from 14 on the right.

Projectile. Again, commercial load from 14 on the right.

Has Winchester changed the Ranger T bullet? Does WMA designate a gov't contract loading?

That certainly doesn't look like a RangerT bullet on the left...I've never seen the brass cases before.

Curious to see what the answer is.
