I heard that Wolf Gold is rebranded PPU. Could be wrong

No experience with Wolf but have fired many thousands of Privi M193 and it was fine.

If they are the same price get the Prvi.  If the Wolf gold is cheaper get it.  Wolf gold is not to be confused with the Russian crap,it's good M193.

Are the Priv primers crimped?

At the same price - WG. It's been more accurate for me. Out of 5K+ rounds, I haven't had a single misfire. PPU, on the other hand, had at least 2 light primer strikes out of less than 2K rounds.

Kinda weak but they are.

Wolf Gold is Taiwanese made. From all the boxes of it that I shot, it has better brass case, higher pressure and more constant accuracy than anything from PPU.

Sure does.  Just bought another 4K.  Pound for pound, dollar for dollar it's my favorite stuff out there right now.

It used to be re-branded PPU. Now, it's made in Taiwan.

Either would be fine with me. The Wolf Gold 7.5x55 Swiss I shot through my K31 put GP11 to shame.

WOLF Gold is amazing ammo for the money. I'd go with that and not think twice.

Sounds lik either is worth buying, thanks for the replies...just got a bunch of prvi....

I'm sure PPU is good enough ammo.
Wolf Gold is my choice of 55 grain, pretty much vs anything.

Yep, really is good ammo that has enough stones to make my small port SBRs function flawlessly. Great accuracy to boot.

I like both and have shot a lot of both. Wolf Gold is a bit more accurate and has better brass. WG is the only bulk I buy now.

I've shot a lot of both.  Both run reliably.  The Wolf Gold tends to be quite a bit more accurate in my guns - 2moa vs 4moa.  Molon's testing seems to back that up as well.

Wolf Gold is a bit more accurate in almost all of my 5.56 guns, so I would go with Wolf Gold.
However, I would choose Geco 5.56 over all other brands.
It is the only 'cheap' ammo that reliably prints 1.3-1.4MOA 10rd groups in my SR15 Mod1, and about ~1.8MOA in most of my other 5.56 guns.

Both have treated me good but if the price is the same I'd go with the Prvi.

This, in my gun Wolf is the most accurate non-match ammo and has never not gone bang.

This.  The Wolf is surprisingly accurate for budget ammo.

I finally finished my scoped AR and was shooting 1.7" 10 shot groups at 100yds with wolf Gold. IMO that's pretty good for "blasting" ammo.

Doing some quick searches online, for 55gr Wolf Gold is significantly cheaper than PPU. Seeing several $300 and $310 per case for the Wolf and $350-370 per case for the PPU. I've plinked thousands of both PPU and wolf steel case but haven't tried the wolf gold. With all this praise will pick that up for next case and see how it does. But as far as the which is cheaper, it's not a point worth conversing about..

Like many others here I am very pleased with Wolf Gold (Taiwan). I fire it regularly from both a 16" and 20". I find PRVI to be ok but prefer the Wolf.

Wolf for stock piling and Speer gold dots 75 grain when I can afford it is all I buy anymore.

At this point in time I see no great reason to buy anything else. The price to performance for both loads is really great IMO.

If Tula gets real cheap again I'll stack. The newer silver looking tuna is pretty good stuff.

Wolf Gold for me when it's on sale with free shipping.

Usually around $309 shipped with Sportsman's Guide membership and free shipping coupon.
Wouldn't be surprised if it goes lower now that we can quit worrying (for a little while) about gun control.

The wolf shoots a bit better out of my rifles. Both work very well.

I like the packaging of the ppu better, the cases I got of it are in thick plastic sleeves of 10 boxes. Much better for long term storage.

Wolf Gold.  It is more accurate than Prvi based on my tests.
