Any love for this round?    Is it actually bonded?    I can't seem to find any tests on it.

The interlock bullet is not bonded.  Think of it about like a Core-lokt from Remington. The ring gives a mechanical "lock" b/t jacket and core, but it's not chemically bonded.

Hornady's website says the american whitetail ammo is exclusive to "Academy" with that bullet, I can't even find it as a component, which is probably why you can't find any tests.

I would expect the bullet to perform very similar to any of the 55-64 softpoints that are popular today, especially the Core-lokt.

So no biggie.  Prob no better than the Hornady 50 pack spire points?   And also Academy is where I saw them.  Thanks for the input.

What do you intend to do with them?  The interlock will definitely hold together better than their standard 55gr/60gr spire point varmint bullets.

Not sure how much they want for the 60gr interlock rounds... but you can probably find something that performs better on deer/people for less or the same and is more widely available.

Deer/pigs/people would be intended  use. They're about $17 for 20.   Fusions are just a couple of bucks more.

No these hold the bottom of the bullet together with the inner ring of copper, =more penetration. Maybe not a biggie but if you are going to hunt whitetails these are going to better than a regular 60gr sp or v-max. I wish they would produce just the bullet I would buy them,i have had much luck with the hornady 100gr 6mm inerloc.

Try TAP Barrier. Same bullet construction in 62gr

I'd step up to the Fusions. Lots of positive results with them on here with myself included.

Try to find some of these and see if your gun likes them.  They have shot fine in every 1:9 and faster gun I've tried.  I'm using these for hunting (predators, javelina, deer, mt. lion) and self defense,  my gun likes these as far as accuracy too.  I primarily chose it b/c I got it for $.045/rd... Heck of a lot cheaper than Fusion..

They make it in a steel case "training" round.  I switched to this exclusively, cheap enough to practice, yet a good bullet imho.

And this

I shot this coyote with it at 150 yards.  It was pretty much head on, entered in the neck, exited out behind the front right shoulder.  The exit was about the size of a handball.

you don't want to use superformance in a semi auto gun with less than rifle length gas system... however it's pretty much the same bullet...

Thanks Imaguy.  I have a pile of the Hornady 55's and 75's.   Also stocking Fusion too.  What's the old adage. Variety and spice.
