Why does this box read for M1A?
Is it loaded, bullet crimped or sized somehow differently that it won't work in a 308 AR or FAL?

It's marketed that way to let you know that the powder burn curve is specifically for the M1a/M14 type rifle and it won't bend an oprod.

It will be fine in your FAL or AR10.

Well, i shot 20 rounds through my 16" barreled LR308 this afternoon.
2 sets of 5 shot, 3" and 3 1/2" groups @ 200 yards,  2 sets of 100 yd 5 shot groups, one at 1 3/4" other at 2 3/4",
winds crossing gusts 10-25 mph, 50 degrees, from the bench, only the front on a rest.
I RAN to the 100, posted 2 targets, RAN to the 200, posted the targets
and RAN back so my heart was pumping good for the first 10 rounds.
RAN to the 200 and looked at target and RAN back and shot 5 more at 100 and then 5 more at 200.
I'd say it was pretty good considering the wind, I couldn't hold still
because my heart pumping and wind blowing me around.

Edit; 12X Leupold 5 shots at a time magfed from 10 round magpul mag.

It's GOOD ammo for the price.  $18 for 20 rounds?

Yeah, my M14S shoots under 1" groups with it fairly easily.  I'm sure other guns will like it just as well.

You don't believe me that's fine.....I personally chuckle at the MOA all-day-long challenge.....Because if I was truly a lying SOB why wouldn't I simply shoot group groups at 25 yards and slap them up as "proof"?

I said the gun shoots under 1" groups   I will outright/openly say I have to be up to it for the day.

I wonder why this ammo hasn't gotten back down to "pre-panic" prices like most other 762?
I can't remember exactly, but Midway had it for closer to $13/20 back then.

Seriously?  Match ammo with a 168gr OTM was $13/20?

Yeah it was, I was getting it for $12.95 before the panic.  Heck, DURING the panic while everything else shot up I kept buying new batches in for $15.95....

I think they realized that they had a sleeper cartridge/round/price combo.

At the time it was a classic case of supply and demand.... everyone wanted .223 / 5.56 .. not 7.62x51.

I am really surprised the price of handgun ammo is still way up there.
