Long distance defined as 300-400m

Got a few hundred rounds of late 70's vintage FNM Portuguese 7.62 147 grain FMJ.  At 100 yards, it seems to do about 2MOA but how does it work at long ranges?  I understand it's not a BT design. Plus, has the powder degraded over the last almost 40 years?

Thinking if I should dump this stuff and go with 175 grain SMK.

I can ding 12" steel plates with monotonous regularity at 650meters with mine out of a PWS Mk216.  That's all I need.

Send it to me

Exactly how much worse is it versus 168 or 175 grainers?

Should be okay. I shot plenty through my TRG-22 to kill groundhogs in PA. No point spending good money on SMK's to clear the farm of them when it works fine out to 300 or so on a 10" target...
