I've never shot any 5.56 Independence but have shot 9mm and .45 acp.  It was a bit dirty but good for practice at the range.

Just shot two boxes today of their 5.56 55gr. Zero issues, and it flew well for M193 spec ammo.

Thousand rounds over the last 90 days. Not one issue. Not the best for reloading tho.

How are we still asking this question?

Hey Talywhacker, what issues have you run into reloading this brass?

I've got a bunch of it and am debating reloading it after bad experience with

"FC .223 Rem" headstamp brass. Since the Independence 5.56 is made by

IMI in Israel, I was hoping the brass would be higher quality.

Its loaded hot which leads to the rims getting chewed up a little.

The primer pockets arent they best. The other FC marked stuff (usually) the small fc is g2g for reloading.

I bought it when Federal XM193 was going for $20 a box and wasn't expecting much. I had read that their pistol ammo was not very good. I was pleasantly surprised. It does feel a little hotter than the Federal but I've shot a few hundred rounds of it and  every one has fed, fired and ejected just fine. I wasn't chronographing it or measuring the groups but there was no noticeable difference in accuracy between it and the Federal.

I've had excellent results with Independence 5.56 and have also  found their 115 grain 9mm to be extremely accurate in my X-Fives.

Independence us one of my preferred brands.

I have fired 900 rounds of this ammo through two of my AR's.  I bought it about a year ago in the height of 5.56/.223 ammo shortage.  The Lot number is FC13C001-037.  The only thing I noticed was an increased about of brass shavings in the bolt during cleaning.  It produced noticeably more brass shavings than original IMI and Federal XM193.  Other than that, it was good ammo for the price.

I'm very happy with the 556 I've shot.  Not the most accurate (2"+ groups at 100 yards) but cycles well.

Its Israeli made M193 with a FC head stamp.
