Took the plunge into the world of reloading for my 15. Lee Breech 50th anniversary kit and all the extra trimmings from CTD plus my first box of Hornady V Max 55g, some odds and ends from Amazon and hope to hit Harbor Freight (digital caliper on sale) and the local gun shop today for powder and primers. I'm sure I won't have gotten the absolute best price on everything (maybe even not the best components, not sure yet) but a big step from buying factory ammo. Now where's that darned UPS truck!
Ok, it's not a $1,200 set up but a newbie has to start somewhere

Dicks is running a sale on American Eagle green tip XM855 figured id see on the off chance they had any. They did(they were not even busy at the ammo counter I was the ONLY one there as a matter of fact). it was $49.98 per box of 150 limit 2 per customer..so wife and I both got 2 so 600 rounds of XM855 for $214 not too bad..they had quite a bit more I may have to go back!

Nice, I went to academy sports tonight and duped myself into getting a 900 round ammo case of m855 on stripper clips for 450. Gander mountain had 312 round packs for 200. Got out of there before I puked. Dicks was already closed, but looks like I'm going there tomorrow

Now I have my revolvers,pistols,rifles and shotguns pretty much where I want them..im guessing from here on out unless its just trading a gun to get something I like more(1 for 1 replacement) which I will do on a regular basis...I really dont need any more.. now I need to start using my "gun money" for ammo and accessories..and thats fine. |

Well, I decided to go and buy another 2K rounds of 5.56x45 today from BulkAmmo.com, ordered 1K of XM855 and another of XM193. I also checked my powder, primer, brass and bullet supply. I should be good for the rest of my life barring any major societal upheavals. Mostly I got this so I can supply friends who may have missed out (and no, I do not gauge my friends, they pay cost or they get this for doing me a favor).

Last week was 200 rounds of Fed 9mm aluminum, 200 rnds of Fed .45 and a 50 rnd box of the PerFect 9mm to look at and see what it would ring up. $10.97, stoll not a bad price.

I emptied my walmart of its .300blk Remington (they just had three boxes left). Went over to PSA where they have the Fiocchi 50rd bricks for $30, got a couple of those, and then ordered a bunch of the S&B 6.8 ammo from PSA that was their daily deal yesterday.
