Do you all think this is going to be the new normal, or is this another .22lr debacle that will be over next summer?

View Quote Realistically, people are just gonna stop most of their shooting if bulk blaster .223 hits a buck a round, so I think there is a point at which demand falls off and prices stabilize. Hell, more than even fifty cents a round would cause me to stop shooting 3gun, or switch over to something else like 5.45x39 or 7.62x39. (Actually, I've already started using my 5.45x39 AR for 3gun and classes, so I guess the cutoff was more like 33cpr for me.) I'm insulated for the moment from the 9mm insanity since I'm stocked pretty well in powder and primers, but that's only going to last a few more months unless I can restock primers somewhere in there. |

And this is why i think .22 is the next to skyrocket in price and be OOS everywhere soon .22 is still available and very reasonable on price shipped to your door. Folks will not shoot their centerfire ammo for fear of replacing the spent rounds due to cost, availability, etc and go to.22 to shoot. I have a nice ammo fort of .22 and still grabbed another 10K for $400 shipped last week to top off my neckbeard pile just in case Watch and see it happen if this keeps up with centerfire ammo being overpriced and hard to find |

Well, that stuff looks like garbage to me so I went with 5250 rounds of This CCI Blazer® 22 LR Bulk Pack. It’s topped off with 525 rounds of accurate, reliable Blazer loads with 38-grain round nose bullets perfect for plinking. The rounds cycle particularly well in semi-automatic rifles, thanks to their 1,235 fps muzzle velocity and clean, consistent CCI® priming.

It's the sequence of ammo panics. Unfortunately, rimfire is not necessarily helpful to people shooting USPSA, multi-gun, and doing a lot of training classes. One thing that is worth noting, though, is that a lot of ammo is imported, so things will suddenly become available for a bit when the next big shipment hits. |
