I'm well aware that's $30 more than the current price that they have on Wolf Gold, but as far as I know, it's 5.56 instead of .223 which makes a difference to some.

Thoughts?
Check out the review on here for wolf gold. I don't have the link to it but it's from 2014 iirc and it's been stated that wolf gold is just about the same as 5.56.

That is not a bad deal given prices today.  However, I'd rather shoot this for 31 cents a round:

$22 shipping for me. Still a better deal than the AE. Both are good bulk loads. SGAmmo might be a little cheaper with shipping.

Thanks for the info. From what I've read on here Wolf Gold is good for plinking. How does it compare to Federal in terms of working on my accuracy/training. I was thinking about buying  1k-2k rounds because it looks like its about to get hard to find. I want to shoot cheap but I would rather spend a bit more if it's worth it especially if it's about to be slim picking.

Any deals out there for current manufactured, non reloads on 308/762 shipped? .50 cents per round was when I last saw some a few months back, prices are creeping up since November is coming..

Check Walmart for their ZQI clearance. That's the only way I can see you getting something for less than 50 cents/rd to your door.  PPU is the next best, but you'll pay 55+cents/rd most likely.

Here's another option at 52 cents shipped, but it's far from newly manufactured: http://sgammo.com/product/308-win-762x51-ammo/960-round-case-762x51-nato-146-grain-fmj-hirtenberger-surplus-ammo-1970s

ETA: I'm assuming you're looking for brass cased?

Thanks Joe, yes brass cased please...my local Walmart doesn't stock them, and the SG ammo deal I did see but that's too old stuff for me

Then look for the PPU M80. It will run you a bit more, but it is good ammo and pretty much your only other "low priced" option. AIM and SGAmmo both have it in stock...shipping will be the big variable.

If you buy a lot of ammo, you will save money by keeping it.  I got 6 cases of Wolf Gold at $295/case delivered and with Ebates got another $15.  Ebates gives you 2.5% of what you buy at SG.  I routinely get a case of 9mm for less than $200 delivered.

Take a look at Grafs.com because of $7.95 shipping regardless of quantity and good prices.

Hmmm Ok I'll consider it.  I would  be in the market for 9mm  Do they frequently offer deals on name brand on that too?

I had a membership there for a year. They have some good deals occasionally. 500 rounds 9mm Brown Bear for like $80 free shipping a few weeks ago. Bummed I missed it but I reload 9mm so whatever.

Anyway I didn't renew my membership.  Good stuff sometimes but not worth it to me.

I believe AIM Surplus is currently the best price on in stock Wolf Gold.  Comes out to just under $330/thousand.
