Anyone else having problems with this BCG? It is a lengthwise crack under the extractor. I can tell how long it is, but I just noticed it while pulling it out to clean. Bought it less than a year ago from joebobs outfitter.

Just uploaded a pic. I will try to get some more up. Barrel was a 4.5" KAK, buffer H2 with a buck 50 behind it, and a standard carbine buffer spring. Used the same combo with a standard 9mm BCG for about 10k rounds without issue. That one has a 10.5" barrel. Shooting mostly Winchester white box, and some Tula.

Material looks pretty thin in that area - seems like a perfect spot to fail.

Yes, they are super thin through that area. I did a search looking for other instances of them cracking through this area and came up with nothing. In the pic of the front, you can see lint stuck in the crack when I wiped it down. At this point I think I will get a hold of NFA and see what they say. Not much I can do about it but put super glue in the crack  ??

Of course all this is just my opinion......

A respected opinion around here. I will look around for a better buffer. The Kak looks to be to light and short. There is a solid stainless steel option out there, but I worry about bolt bounce with no weights in the buffer. Ahh, the problems of blow back AR's.

Give me a shout at the shop...we have an extended length adjustable weight bolt that I use in all my 9mm builds......it is steel and filled with lead shot.....by adding or removing it can go from 6 to 7.5 ounces.....about what I consider optimum for 9mm

Thank you. I will be getting ahold of you for one of those bolts after the first of the year.

My mistake, the BUFFER is extended length and adjustable weight, we do have a companion bolt to go with it.

Got it. I didnt catch that myself. Are your bolts Glock mag compatible and ramped?
