Ok so I got a guy who wants my nib 6951, ive never even loaded it.

if if I Di sell it, will it be possible to replace in case I want another one down the road? Everywhere I looked online shows out of stock, and the few results I got on gunjoker were outrageous, one for 2500!?

Anyway, can they be had? Is it just a name thing. Colt v rra or some other brand?

Matt

I sold my first one because I thought I needed something else.  I had a hell of a time finding another, big mistake, don't do it.

Yeah ^, don't do it. They are not "rare" as in collecting but they only make a run every so often so they're hard to find.

I have not seen any available this year in spite of being in the Colt catalog.  Recently read that they only do one run of them a year which might explain the difficulty in finding one right now,

I think it might be easier if instead of a Colt, you wanted to grab a RRA, CMMG,, Stag, etc or even a dedicated lower for a DIY project.

I love my 6951. Don't get rid of yours, you'll regret it.

A friend of mine bought the one and only new 6951 at a store a few weeks ago.  It had been in the store only a few days prior.  Price was $1049.

Do not sell it unless it's an outrageous offer.
You WILL regret it!
I love both my 16 & SBR'd versions.
They do come available once in awhile, for around $1K.
But I regret selling my 6450 years ago & glad to have been able to semi-replace them.
Keep it!

DON'T SELL IT!! While the 6951's aren't rare, with the upcoming elections, I would keep it.

Seems a reasonable price.  Places listing them out of stock seem to be in the $950-$1100 range and then going up from there.

Great looking rifle; what handguards are those, and are they heavy?

Been trying to find one myself. Called Clyde Armory and said they had one 6951 about a month ago...
