I bought a 9mm upper w bolt.
I was told bolt and upper were cmmg.
The upper is clearly marked RRA.
So now I'm wondering if I have RRA bolt, or CMMG bolt.
I did not find any identifying markings.
Are there any features, such as cut outs, ramping etc, that would ID it as RRA or cmmg?

In a blowback 9mm AR there is no bolt carrier, just a bolt.  Terminology lesson only - no idea on if there are any specific markings on an RRA or CMMG 9mm bolt.

RRA has a page showing the differences between their current bolts and the older non-ramped bolts.  Hopefully, this will help a little.

Ty for the helpful info.
Comparing the rra pdf to the pics in the discussion listed below,
I believe I have a cmmg bolt
