I am looking to get a dedicated 9mm lower and was looking at the EF9 Lightened lower.   Anyone have any experience with Black Creek?

Same. I built mine back about February/March and it has been 100% through probably 12-1500 rounds.

Mine works with ProMag, ASC, modified Uzi and Metalform mags.

No trouble with hollow point ammo at all.

I am glad I have it.

built mine up over the summer, super easy because the bolt catch and take down retainer are screws, would buy again without a doubt

Does it accept the standard bolt catch or does it need the extended?

I installed a standard at first but wouldn't sit deep enough into my metal form mags. After installing the extended all was good.

It should work fine with a standard AR bolt catch, mine does.

I think the early run used the long finger 9mm style bolt catch. All of the newer ones have a intermediary lifter that is floating in the lower. The mag engages the lifter, which in turn engages the standard ar15 bolt catch.

Happy EF9 owner. In the future I will only buy dedicated lowers instead of mag blocks and lowers. A better mouse trap and more cost effective.

Received the lower today.... This thing is awesome.   Missing the screw pack, so only partially built.   I really like the attention to detail from these guys.

Congrats!!!

If you like the classic lines to match look at a RRA Slick side flat top upper, or as I went with, a Model 1 Sales Slick side flat top upper. Matchs perfectly.
