OK I am putting together a 9mm. Im going to use a Gieselle SD-3G trigger and hammer. I also picked up a 9mm JP Silent capture spring. Doing some research and it seams like i need a non ramped bolt for this trigger? and also a bolt where i can take out the weight so the silent capture spring can penetrate. Currently I have a PSA on order, but do i need something different? spend the extra $$ on a JP one from brownells, since you're going with their silent spring assy.. It's a turn key drop in unit. No need to ramp it or remove anything. I went with a cmmg and took off some material on the inner part to clear Glock mags. I had everything else in spare parts bins. Now, If i had the coin for a JP silent assy, i'd go with the JP BCG. |

That sound great but will the JP ramped bolt reset the SD-3G trigger?

Nope... It's a ramped bolt (sort of a modified CMMG style, since it's cut for glock mags too). Really there aren't a whole lot of unramped bolts - Colt and Rock River (and that could have changed).
If you haven't bought the trigger yet, then you should really pick one that will work with a ramped bolt. Confirmed that Rock River change over this year to a ramped bolt... |
