Will I need a replacement barrel nut for this upper if I plan to replace the stock free float tube?

You will need what ever barrel nut goes with the hand guard you choose.
Also keep in mind, the upper receiver is proprietary and a regular clam shell type action block will not fit it.

Actually, the clam shell will fit....however, the round insert will not fit.

You can also modify the 'panther claw' to work as well.

The threads on the upper are Mil spec std.

Thanks guys.  I have the usual black plastic clam shell receiver block, I'll give that a shot.
