It's too bad I have never seen a single good response to your Vulcan/Hesse carbon fiber crap uppers,,,,,,

FISTYBUM,

Have you seen an unfavorable report? If someone has had a problem with a Vulcan 22lr upper from RCS it's news to me and I'm the guy that builds them. We have a policy of full refund if someone is not happy. I had one that wouldn't close on a new Rock River lower. The customer sent it back and I changed it to an aluminum receiver. That one wouldn't close either. Rock River took the lower back, admitted that it was out of spec and replaced it with one in spec. That didn't fix the problem either, so I refunded the whole thing. I later found out that the Rock River bolt catch is slightly taller than other manufacturer's part. It was preventing the bolt from going full forward.

I'm curious why you would make such a bitter statement. Obviously you have not actually put your hands on anything we build. I don't use the Vulcan for anything but 22lr. because I also have some reservation about their strength for high power centerfire ammo. RCS builds upppers with any brand receiver that a customer requests. The Vulcan carbon fiber is just one means of providing the most economical option for someone that doesn't want to spend any unrequired $$ on a plinker.

I tell you what I'm willing to do. I will pay the shipping charges both ways and ship you one of our complete 22lr uppers with the carbon fiber reciever and you can shoot it all you want, then return it. After you've actually tried one I will be willing to accept your critical comments, if any.

I did not mean to slander your product, or your ability to assemble a .22lr upper, I have just seen more stripped out carbon fiber uppers than aluminium... And any thing with the vulcan/hess name has always been a bit dodgy, they have a horrible reputation they have been working years to build and reinforce...If you are serious about submitting an upper for testing, I'll take one out and run it side by side with my spikes, and my buddies home build .22lr uppers, and give an honest review... Thanks, Fisty

Hey, if I badmouth one, can I borrow one for a little while too? No, really. (Hell, I'll even make a whole damn thread about it complete with pics of groups compared to a normal 5.56 barrel.)

And obtw, this is the one with my .22 conversion right now...the middle one.

But I just got an additional aimpoint today (woo-hoo!) so I'm thinking about making this one my plinker...

Here's one: The bipod is just for the picture, although since the CZ has a free floated hand guard I guess it would work okay. Like the earlier poster who posted a CZ, I added a rail to the bottom of the handguard.

The dog is looking like, "WTF! is up with the bipod?"

This thread must not die.

Here's my favorite setup at the moment.

I'm lefty and the 9mm upper receiver really helps to send the brass at 2 o'clock

Here's my Spike's barrel and kit.

I was going to do a 9mm build next but y'all have now convinced me that 22lr is the way to go. Time to send in for a pair of tax stamps.

BTW Some sticky this please.

Me too? And I'll even give you my CC# so you can charge me if I don't return it within 30 days.

Daddy's little girl needs a complete rifle to go with her new CavArms furniture, and I think anything aluminum is going to be too heavy for a few years.

Here she is "borrowing" my CMMG superlight 14.5" to show off her "princess gun" parts. I had to remove the bolt, carrier, buffer, and spring to lighten it up enough for her to handle, but I don't think most ARs work very well without those parts.
It's all fun and games... until the Flying Monkeys attack!

I cant wait to test these things

I actually was considering a vulcan carbon upper rec. for my AOW build, but after stripping the bushy, I just couldnt pull the trigger on another carbon. It was on the EE, a good price... I just couldnt do it. I still want one though.
