Question for those with a Shockwave brace on a 9mm pistol, does the shockwave bruise your shoulder? My 5.56 pistol does fine without any discomfort during firing, but I've been reading that on a 9mm, it's better to go with the SB?

I hardly Notice the Shockwave Blade on my 9mm AR, It is usually people that don't have one or Don't like the Shockwave Blade  that will tell you about discomfort. The recoil on my AR9 is less than my 5.56

Don't have any issues with the Shockwave on my 5.56 pistol, but the Shockwave on my 9mm pistol bruises the hell out of my shoulder when it accidentally comes into contact.  Looking forward to replacing it with an SBA3 when they start shipping

Since it's a pic thread...

Shoots even better than it looks and it fits in a laptop bag

My AR9 has a shockwave on it and I have no issues.  No bruising or pain at all.

Do you have a billet lower that you can test fit the mag adapter in?

I do not.  I don't see why it wouldn't work though, as long as the magwell interior dimensions are same.

4 1/2" barrels and 4" handguards.
I had to use double crush washers to keep the cutters from touching the end of the handguard.

Were you ever able to find a set for the front of the DOE?  I recently came across a set of handguards, and I am thinking of building my own sight tower and such.  I don't have any tooling short of a drill press, but I know how to run a file.  But, if you have found a better way, I would be interested in hearing it.

Spike's ST-9G lower, Nordic upper w/4" Faxon barrel (3 lugged),  Faxon bolt, SB Tactical tube, Spike's 9mm buffer, GHW Tailhook Mod 1, 3lug Gemtech MK-9K that I usually run on a subgun.

Thanks bud !

It's my first.

Forgot to mention that handguard underneath the leather is just one of those cheapo 2" od knurled jobs from Brownells. Cheapo Truglo red dot. Very quiet with MK-9K and 158gr.
Added a foam cover on that buffer tube also.

I think I'm done with it, but I haven't shot it yet, so we'll see.

I twist my shockwave outwards so it sits against the outside of my right forearm.  I like that "feel" better for stabilizing the pistol.

It's an illness I guess. I can't help myself... I like custom projects, and I don't really have "mainstream firearm afficianado" tastes, i.e. making something Tier One tactical.  The upside is everything I have is unique. The downside is I will own it all until I die, because no one is likely to buy any of it.

The lower consists of a qc10 unit for glock mags, nickel boron coated trigger group, and a mvb arc 9mm specific stock.  Upper is a matrix arms side charger with a bolt assembly and 5 inch barrel with 3 lug from mad machinist.  Rail is from slr, sights are troy, and a vortex red dot sits on top.  Rounding it out is the swr octane 9 suppressor.Attachment Attached File
