If this is directed to me...not really, it is just open ended, the muzzle is about 3/4" back from the face of the open hand guard tube. I basically just wanted to keep it as short as I could while still having something to hold onto. If HPA passed one day, it will have a can on it. I currently feed it 147 grain subs (roll my own) as they are very soft shooting, and I will then be ready if/when it gets a can.

Unfortunately the new build is having feeding issues.  Waiting to hear back from the barrel manufacturer.  Will get pictures and description posted once I have it functioning to my standards.

I just recently picked up a new Nordic Components NCPCC. Here are some photos that I took with my friend and also a link to my overview video. I have heard that Nordic Components will also be making JUST the lowers available soon as well. That way folks can utilize their swappable magwells but build their own uppers to their liking.

Those who are familiar with what I do and who I am (trust me, it is ok if you do not. I am a nobody.) will understand that there is not much that impresses me much anymore when it comes to this platform. However, this PCC impresses me. The fit and finish are immaculate and the machining is just, it's just WOW.

Who makes the long ~ 30 round mags?  I see Glock on some, are they really pistol mags?  How about the clear ones?

For Colt SMG style magazines there are several manufacturers.  The consensus from ARFCOM is that Metalform magazines are the best.  Those have been also branded by Palmetto State Armory who frequently have great deals on them.  Brownells also have branded Metalform mags.  These aren't typically used in handguns but are designed for the "AR-9" platform (both rifles and pistols)

For Glock magazines, you can find 30 rounders from Glock as well as knock-offs from a few vendors.  The clear ones are from ETS.  These are also used in Glock handguns.

The "long Glock mags" are 33 round model 18 mags. They are a factory Glock produced magazine

... then I changed the furniture a little.

I bought as completed lower from PSA almost a year ago.  Immediately thereafter, my Form 1 went in the mail.  I got the stamp a couple of months ago or so.  Here's the most important part.  Next, I contacted Rudy at Macon Armory and bribed him into assembling my upper.  I chose wisely here.

So, here are the brief specs:

PSA completed lower (no LRBHO)
Macon Armory upper - 7.5" (per my request) barrel with 1/2" x 28 thread and Sampson handguard.  It also came with Rudy's buffer, which is installed.
Magpul MOE SL-K buttstock
Magpul MOE-K2+ grip (so I can try it one-handed... maybe )
Vortex Spitfire AR prism scope (red/green circle dot).  I wanted to be able to switch reticle colors and wanted to spend less than $400 (it was about $300 and the warranty didn't hurt).

I used the Glock factory 30 whatever round mag and the 15 round Magpul.  The ammo was mostly Federal 115 gr. FMJ brass, with almost a box of the same by Herter's (Cabela's repackaged stuff).  Anyway, 285 rds. and no stops.  Runs like a top and a bit more accurate than I thought.  It's my new favorite range toy.

In case you're wondering, I submitted the Form 4 for the can around 2 weeks before the Form 1.  Assuming that the dealer submitted it when he said he was (or at all), I'm damn near a year out on that.  I'm looking into it this week or next.  WTF?

Yes, I intentionally included my toes in the pics. It's the ARFcom rule, right?

PSA 9mm AR. Bought the basic lower and 13.5" upper and cancelled the upper order when the slick side 15" came in stock two days later. Would have cancelled the whole 9mm order had I known the .45 would be available a month later.

Had a Geissele Hi Speed NM sitting in the spare bin I installed before researching. Wouldn't reset, swapped the Timney from my AR15, resets every time under dry fire but no chance to shoot it yet.

Here are the two together.

Larue Aimpoint Micro mount, HK size
PRI 9mm Gas Buster charging handle

Just put her together today. All PSA 9mm.

Glock mag lower
7.5" upper w/ mlok handguard
Sig BUIS
Shockwave Blade
Buffer spacer

Will likely SBR the lower.

Will be adding a Griffin 3-lug muzzle device for my currently imprisoned Optimus.

Family pic:

Anyone have the PSA upper and use the buffer and spring it came with?  If so, does it run OK?  Need to replace buffer or spring for suppressed or unsuppressed?

Question #2: trying to decide on an optic - looking at Vortex Sparc AR or Trijicon RMR. I know the Sparc won't be as rugged as an Aimpoint, but I'm not familiar enough with the RMR to know if it would be. Thoughts?  As you can see from my other optics, I'm not shy about buying quality, but I'm having a hard time justifying Aimpoint prices for what will likely be only a range toy.

Nice job on your pistol build.  I don't have a PSA upper so I can't comment on your first question.  But you will have more back pressure suppressed, so if you switch between suppressed and unsuppressed often, it would be better to find a buffer and spring combination that works for both configurations.  I did a lot of experimentation, but it can be done.  I ended up with a 9QT buffer with all the tungsten weights installed and a standard carbine spring.  This, plus the relatively heavy CMMG bolt, gave me smooth operation for both configurations using all the commercial ammo I have tried.

For question 2, if you're going with an unmagnified optic, I would suggest a Vortex Spitfire 1X.  The double circle reticle with center dot is great for me (some don't like it).  It's a very reasonable price for a very robust and durable optic.  I like it because I'm far sighted and can adjust the optic to get a sharp reticle with generous eye relief and a wide field of view, both eyes open.  If you have no vision impediments like me, staying with a red dot may be better.  Check out the Holsun line - really superb red dot optics with a lot of nice features for prices that will pleasantly surprise you.  Of course, it's hard to beat Aimpoint or Trijicon in terms of quality, but like you said, it might be hard to justify based on how you will use it.
