Good morning! I grew up with guns in my life as a child and always enjoyed shooting. I have recently began getting interested in owning an AR but really dont know much about them so I decided to hit up this forum to educate myself a bit. Im not sure I want to go buy one at a store or assemble my own. My instinct is to assemble. I am currently eyeing a stripped lower from spikes tactical or PSA as well as a LPK from PSA. Sooooo many decisions on a build. Any way I look forward to reading and getting an education from all of you.

Assemble your lower, buy a complete upper. That's what I did for my first and I am glad I did it that way.

This route does save you from buying a barrel wrench, but you will probably buy one eventually anyway

Welcome aboard and good luck in your journey. I spent a good 3-4 years reading and looking at pics before I even signed up and this site has definitely influenced some of my builds even though my wallet hates me for it.
