Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel markings

I ran across a 20" HBAR A2 upper today but I can't find any barrel markings. The upper is a Colt A2 with the CM near the rear sight. It has a standard FSB. The barrel is 20" but I can't find any markings on the barrel to determine the maker. Could it be a Colt barrel with not markings? Anyway to ID the barrel. The BCG is also a Colt, C stamped on the side. It's not a M16 bolt, it's cut like a AR15 bolt. Any ideas?

A Colt barrel would be marked somewhere along the lines of C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 (or 1/9) HBAR.
