FN barrels are G2G, great product from everything I've read.  I think PSA uses them for their brand products.

They're not cheap though. $350 and you still have to install an FSB if you're going for an A2 clone. I'm excited by
this offering nonetheless.

Too bad you can't order right from the factory, have to find a distributor.

FN is my preferred barrel over anything. Only thing that would make this better is if we could order them straight from FN like ^he said

Why no FSB?

I'd guess that they're leaving the option up to the buyer. Depending on the build, a F-marked or standard A2, or maybe a low profile gas block would be appropriate.

Adco charges $115 to install a customer supplied FSB with taper pins. I don't know what shipping would cost but I'm guessing that's another $50 round trip. It's starting to be a really pricey barrel.

Is a hammer forged barrel considered "hardened"?

John Thomas of Retro Arms Works charges $50 for the FSB install + $25 return shipping.  John Brace, aka Braceman, used to charge $40, but is so tied up with his new job he hardly accepts any rifle work anymore.

I called the three dealers that FN lists closest to me. None of them can order direct from FN. I am curious who can and what they charge for the 20" offering.

Brownells carries all sizes, 14.5" - 20" for $300.  I believe they have free shipping coupons as well.
