Somewhere around here (or the internet), I saw a photo of Gen. Carson accepting the "first" M16 A2 from Colt's, even though we already had a couple thousand.
Anyone have a link or copy of that 1984 photo?

I have a November 1984 copy of International Combat Arms magazine with an review of the M16A2 by Ken Hackathorn that has two B&W photos of the M16A2 presentation ceremony in it.   One with USMC MG Carson being presented a rifle and another with US Army BG Burba accepting an M16A2.    I can scan this particular page and send the image to you if you're interested.
