Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Old-style carrier keys on piston retrofits

I ran across an old-style AA kit with the replacement carrier key instead of a different carrier.  The price is modest.
I'm thinking of putting the carrier key on a KS47 classic setup. ( I already have the basic upper/bcg.). Seems like the most feasible way to achieve a piston AR that takes AK mags for <$1k.

Are the carrier keys complete crap or are they okay?  Seems like they were an interim measure, replaced with anti-tilt carriers.  I could remedy any tilt with an anti-tilt carrier.
