I have a question, I'm fairly new to AR's in general but know nothing about piston guns... Anyways a friend of mine has a Sig 516 Patrol and he wants to put my Troy Alpha Vtac rail on it. Does anyone know if the Troy Vtac rail will fit on the SIG 516?

No. The 516 uses it's own barrel nut designed to fit the op-rod. Most likely the forearm you're looking at won't fit with the op-rod inside and it definitely won't work with the gasblock.

Someone here did some custom work to fit a centurion C4 rail. The other option is the lancer rails.
